AfricaDay (June 13)

Since the 6th grade students study Tanzania in social studies, I worked with the teachers to create a grade specific fundraiser to tie in with the curriculum. We decided to collect funds to support clean water initiatives and ask the kids to try and raise $5 each by doing chores, etc. Mrs. Creech came up the great idea of having an Africa Day as a culminating activity.  She made this flyer to send home:

We ended up collecting $400 which was donated to TanzaCare supporting the village of .Kwachigwe!
